The U.S. Rep. Chris Smith

He  represents New Jersey’s

  Representative Republican NJ-4

May 10, 2018

Rep. Christopher “Chris” Smith [R-NJ4] has represented the 4th congressional district since 1981!! It's amazing! He is a blitz-strike crusader for his own political interests. He has a strong tendency against the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azeri people. In the case of Azerbaijan, Mr. Smith is acting merely at the pleasure of the occupants of Nagorno Karabakh ( the occupied territory of Azerbaijan).

Mr. Smith’s district includes parts of Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties in the State of N.J. He also sits in the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe.

The armed forces of Armenia have been supported, financially and logistically, from Syria, Lebanon, the U.S.A, Russia, and France. These armed forces have violated the international law and have occupied more than 20 percent of the Azerbaijan's territory and committed
the Khojali Genocide
in February 1992.

On February 1, 2017, Rob Anthes reported that Rep. Chris Smith gives support to Trump

travel ban.

This member of the U.S. House of Representatives who is in his 17th term in the U.S. House of Representatives lacks the minimum knowledge about the Republic of Azerbaijan.

If this republican Rep. Chris Smith was able to analyze the received information from his Armenian friends, then the occupation of the Azerbaijan's territory by the armed forces of Armenia would be his big concerns. Does this Congressman from N. J. know that the Republic of Armenia is a client state for the Imperial Russia?

According to New Jersey journal's Web site, "NJ.com" (Mar 24, 2018 ), Rep. Chris Smith, R-4th Dist., spent more than any other New Jersey lawmaker in 2017, $158,665 from people's money to tell people about himself, according to reports from the Clerk of the House. Smith spokesman Matt Hadro had no immediate comment. [1]

The proof of congressman Chris Smith's ties with the Armenian lobby in the US has been also posted in the social network Twitter on the official webpage of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).[2]

Smith is the initiator of the anti-Azerbaijani bill submitted to the US Congress by Helsinki Commission headed by him. [2]

Azerbaijani President’s Assistant for Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov stressed, in a Facebook post May 10 that on May 9, 2018 the US Helsinki Commission, characterized by its “special interest” in Azerbaijan, held regular hearings regarding the election and fundamental freedoms in the country.[3]

This Azerbaijani speaker went on further and stated, "I’d like to remind that back in December 2016, chairman of the Commission, Congressman Chris Smith put forward a bill providing for harsh sanctions against Azerbaijan."[3]

This politician from Azerbaijan also addressed, "The provisions of this draft law were aimed at seriously undermining the US-Azerbaijan relations in the economic, political and military spheres." [3]

Mr. Hasanov added, "This is the very Smith, who has for a long time shown special zeal for the US government to recognize the so-called Armenian genocide.”[3]

Mr. Hasanov, an official Azerbaijani politician reflected his deep concerns in the actions and behavior of Congressman Christopher Smith with the following points: "It is no coincidence that these hearings were organized by the Commission led by Chris Smith." [3]

Mr. Hasanov also noted. “Along with people who closely watched and showed interest in the processes in our country, “experts” also took part in the event, and they, for various reasons, held a strict anti-Azerbaijan stance."[3]

This Azerbaijani official pointed out that the speeches at these hearings showed that speakers have very superficial and in most cases erroneous impressions about the processes taking place in Azerbaijan, the correlation of political forces in the country, the real weight of some structures represented by a political party or social movement in the life of society and their real intentions.[3]

Smith sits on the congressional Committee on Foreign Affairs, and chairs the subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, and Human Rights. Smith has been an outspoken opponent of human trafficking, and has taken an interest in humanitarian causes during his time in Congress. In December 2016, he criticized President Barack Obama, the U.S. government and the United Nations for not providing aid to Christians in Iraq.[4]

We expect this Congressman from New Jersey, Christopher H. Smith, who is Chairman, Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe comes to terms and to recognize the savage acts of these Armenians in the tragedy of Khojali genocide in Feb. 1992. This Congressman from New Jersey should keep in his mind that the occupation of more than 20 percent of the territory of Azerbaijan, committed by the Republic of Armenia's armed forces, are the clear-cut violation of the international law. The massacre of Khojali is the crimes against humanity committed by the Republic of Armenia.

If Mr. Smith's attitude is still is in the direction of supporting of these violators of the international law, then it would be wise this politician decides to resign from his current job. He is not allowed to supports the interests of the violators and war criminals. He cannot support all these evils things at the pleasure of Armenia but in the name of his own people in the U.S.A.

As we know, Mr. Smith loves to establish commissions and to hear from Van Z. Krikorian, Co-Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Armenian Assembly of America, Kenneth V. Hachikian, Chairman, Armenian National Committee of America what they say about Karabakh only at the pleasure of this Armenian lobbyists in the U.S. Congress.
